The Lennox Report

During the first UK lockdown in 2020, Amanda wrote, produced and starred in her first short film. Directed by her husband, Steve Bright, the pair transformed their home into a film studio and enlisted an all star cast who were all filmed via zoom.

The Lennox Report is a lockdown love story, which touches on the events of last year including the resurgence of the black lives matter movement but it is ultimately a story of Black joy. The film was made with no budget and the cast gave their time for free. The cast includes:

Amit Shah (The Other One, Courier)

Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton)

Pearl Mackie (Greed, Doctor Who)

Charity Wakefield (The Great)

Kerry Howard (Two Weeks to Live, Him & Her)

Doreene Blackstock (Sex Education)

Post-production took place during the summer of 2020. The film premiered on Youtube on 28 December and has received a five star review from UK Film Review.
